NEW SECONDARY PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We are happy to welcome Brett Unger to the Shiloh Family as our new Secondary Principal!

Mr. Unger has served with Springdale Schools since 2005 where he has taught, coached, and been an administrator. Most recently, he has served as the assistant principal at Har-Ber High School. He has also been an administrator at Sonora Middle School and Archer Learning Center at Lakeside Junior High. In addition, Mr. Unger has served as a teacher and coach at Hellstern Middle School, Springdale High School, Har-Ber High School.

Mr. Unger received his Bachelor's Degree from Abilene Christian University in Texas and his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University. Brett and his wife Jodi have three daughters and one son - Micah, London, Brooks, and Blake.

I am incredibly excited about this hire. I truly believe that Mr. Unger will be an outstanding leader within our school and a great fit for our students, teachers, and families. He is a man of God who submits his leadership to God, he is genuine in his relationships, he is extremely hardworking, and he is humble. Mr. Unger will begin his work at Shiloh this summer. If you see him around make sure to say hi and introduce yourself! The future is so bright at Shiloh, we are so thankful for God's provision and blessing! We give him the glory for it!

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS

Shiloh Parents,

Please join us Tuesday, March 28th, on the Springdale Campus as we hear from guest speaker, Brian Mills. Brian has served as the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, Oklahoma since 2019 and has been in vocational ministry since 1998. Before serving at Trinity, he was the college pastor at Cross Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Brian has also served as a youth pastor at several churches and as a church strategist with Student Leadership University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University and his master’s degree at Liberty University. Brian is married to Jennifer and they have two children, Parker and McKenna.

Parenting can seem daunting at times. Bearing the responsibility of raising kids to become godly adults can feel overwhelming! What we often forget, however, is that God calls parents to be godly first. The apostle Paul reminded his young protege, Timothy, of this very truth regarding his pastoral responsibilities when he said, "Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness (1 Tim. 4:7).” In the same way, parents need to train themselves for godliness if they are going to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. To this end, Pastor Brian will equip parents with the wisdom and tools necessary to grow in Christlikeness and disciple their students according to God’s Word.

Dads: “Equipping the Saints” will be held in the CMR. Please enter through the SEC foyer glass doors on the north side of the building (the main gym entrance). We will have greeters waiting to direct you. Dads will meet from 6:45 am to 7:30 am.

SHILOH CHRISTIAN PHYSICS

Today Physics students traveled to Major General Charles H. Wilson Aviation Facility where Dr. McDaniel flew Blackhawks to extend their unit on optics, pneumatics, and hydraulics! Our students learned more about optics by working with night vision goggles and continued their learning with hydraulics and pneumatics with various systems on the Blackhawk helicopters! We are so thankful to partner with the Arkansas Army National Guard to further our students education! Special thanks to Captain Mike Roberts, 1st Lieutenant Tran Huyn, and Colonel Eric Ladd for affording us this opportunity!
