What's Your Goal?
New Year, New Start
Make sure you have a plan
"A good plan is like a road map; it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get to there." -H. Stanley Judd
So what is your destination? What is your goal?
Let Your Goals Motivate You
Instead of giving into these feelings of laziness think of your goal. What is it that you want to accomplish. Bumming around on the couch all day is not going to help you get your diploma. A high school diploma is a requirement for most jobs and is certainly needed to get into college. Let your goal be your motivation! Write it down on a piece of paper and hang it in your study space! Tape it to your bathroom mirror or on the refrigerator. If you use the alarm clock on your smart phone, make your goal part of the alarm message so it is the FIRST thing you see each day!
Success depends on action so whenever you encounter an assignment that you really don't want to complete, just bite the bullet and get it done. You will feel a lot better once the task has been completed and you will also be one step closer to achieving your goal. :-)
