BCSC: Quarantine Update, Week 11

The latest update on COVID cases and quarantines

Dear BCSC families,

BCSC COVID numbers, both for positive cases and students quarantined, were the lowest of the year in our week back from Fall Break. There were three positive cases that impacted students — all at the elementary level, which led to 9 students who were quarantined. This marks the ninth consecutive week with overall quarantine numbers dropping and seven out of the past eight weeks positive cases have declined.

Last week the Food and Drug Administration gave emergency approval of the vaccine for students age 5-11, which is now recommended for the CDC for final approval, which most expect later this week. Next week’s update will have more information regarding that topic.

Sincerely,

Jim Snapp

Superintendent
