Burchfield's Bulletin

October 3-October 7 (School Days 29-33)

Grateful for so much...

Cooler temperatures, 2nd grade swim lessons, a brand new baby Bobcat named McCoy, eyeopening moments while reading Sparking Student Creativity, our successful Curriculum Night, supportive families and teachers who show up at district, school or PTO events that they don't have to attend but they do it anyway, our Teacher of the Month Lindsay Blair, and for teachers who look at PLC time as valuable time to learn and plan for success for their children.

What are you thankful for? Share with someone.

Bobby Award Winner

And the winner is...

Thank you, LeAnn Stevens for always going above and beyond the expected. There is so much expected as a teacher and as a facilitator of learning. You do all that with a smile, lead your amazing team, and step up to every challenge like no other. Thanks, LeAnn.

A Few Pics Around the Building This Week

Just for Fun and Some More

Enjoy and Explore

Be amazed - a pencil lead my friend.

Don't be boring. You know what it feels like when you're bored.

This is a very interesting story. I think you'll see some interesting relationships between this school and ours.

Talent can be found in so many people in so many different places.

Heard of Ron Clark? Take a listen!

I know that many of you look for ways to building relationships with your students. Here are some to consider. Thanks for those of you who have already worked through your classlist to make those positive phone contacts.

Have they lost their minds or are they just exhausted?

Information from the Leslie in the Library

This week the students will be going to the computer lab, but if they need to check out a new book be sure to send it with them. Mrs. Sard will be able to take them the first few minutes of class to do a quick check out. For those of you who would like your students to take/pass an AR test before they turn them in, you will need to check on that before they go to computer lab. I will be out Monday-Wednesday at a technology training. If you have any questions on AR or how to do certain things with AR please just email me or feel free to come by on Thursday or Friday and I will help you.

Don’t forget if your student has trouble with their Chromebook (beyond logging on) please be sure to fill out the google form on my website. The form is necessary for me to have the correct info to do a work order. Have a great week!
