More Summer Suggestions
- Research your college options and compare the colleges/universities in which you are interested online on college search sites like Big Future.
- Use the College Comparison Worksheet, available in your Crosby Portal, as a resource to help keep track of information for your top schools.
- Create/update your Activities Resume in your Crosby portal to help later with your admission and scholarship applications.
- Visit college campuses to help narrow down your list of schools (and send us your selfies/confirmations to receive College Visit credit toward your senior requirement).
- Review college applications and mark admission deadlines on a calendar.
- Work on your first drafts of personal statements/essays for early admission applications.
- Volunteer in the community and submit your community service form.
- Think about how you plan to pay for college. Research the different types of Financial Aid. Start a scholarship search and save those for which you plan to apply. Perhaps you can get a part-time job and begin saving for college.
- Establish a CFNC.org account to help with sending your HS transcripts and explore other features the website offers.
- Have fun! Whether you take a vacation, go to camp, or sleep in - just make sure to enjoy some time off this summer.
