A Note from your Head of School

I know I say this every year, but I can hardly believe it's almost time for summer break! This year has flown by and as always, I'm so grateful that I've been able to share it with each of you and your children. What a memorable year this has been!

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Anadara Arnold and each teacher at the school for all of the hard work that went into our "Swamped" production. I think we all agree that this was one of the most special things we've ever done as a school and the bar has been set quite high for future school productions! I also want to thank our HTM parents and grandparents who put in lots of extra hours and love to make sure the musical was a success. From building the stage, creating the set, arranging lighting and sound, filming the show, running the concession stand, creating costumes, and a hundred other tasks, it was a massive group effort. And of course, I am so proud of each and every child at HTM for learning their lines, rehearsing their songs, practicing their moves, working behind the scenes, and doing it all with such a fantastic attitude. We are truly privileged to have such an amazing group of students and families and I could not be more proud of everyone.

As our school continues to grow and expand, we'll be stretching our arms to welcome even more new families and students to the HTM community. If you love being a part of it, please consider becoming a Mentor Family for incoming families next year. We'll pair you with another family and you'll be a great contact to guide them through the year!

We are excited to look ahead to next year and celebrate our new campus and growth. Thank you all for your prayers, enthusiasm and encouragement as we head into the home stretch together!

You'll also enjoy an open bar for beer and wine, super fun games on the lawn, music and dancing, and a few more surprises. Don't miss out on our signature rum cocktails, which will be available for purchase!

We're excited to welcome new families to HTM at this event, as well as many supporters and friends of the school. We want to encourage all current families to attend and extend a warm welcome to the new members of our community!

Field Day

It's time for our 2nd Annual Field Day at HTM!

Field Day is a fun time for teachers and students to play and participate in activities outside to celebrate the conclusion of another successful academic year. It takes place on Friday, May 20 during the regular school day. This year, HTM student Olivia Meier has organized Field Day as her 3rd Grade Project, with oversight and direction from teacher KaToya Jackson.

Field Day will start off with fun stations full of age-appropriate activities for each class, such as sidewalk chalk, bouncy houses, and more. After lunch, we'll have some friendly competition through our sack races, egg races, and school-wide run. We'll also have a school-wide bike ride, so if your child wants to participate you may bring bikes and helmets (please label your child's name on them with tape) to drop off in the morning. Of course, the highlight of the day is always our yearly Tug-of-War Competitions between classes and teachers!

Your child will not need to wear a uniform on Field Day, but please make sure they wear clothes that can get dirty as well as sneakers or other closed-toe shoes appropriate for running and playing. Be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen and bug spray before you leave home. Your child will need to bring a water bottle with his or her name clearly labeled. Also, please send lunch as usual so that your child may enjoy a picnic outside.

We are excited to get outside and have some fun with our amazing HTM students!
