Escape from Mr.Lemoncello's Library

By: Chris Grabenstein

The Genre of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library is Mystery. The reason why it is mystery is that there are a lot of mysteries in the book.

The themes of the book is to never give up and to keep trying, and not to bully. The theme is to never give up because when they don't find the right clue or when Charles beats them to something they kept on going. Also bulling is a theme because when Charles keeps bulling the other contestants he soon gets eliminated from the game.

The Protagonist of the book is Kyle. He is the protagonist because he is the main character. The reason why he entered the contest was because he want the money for games and the games inside the library, that they have special access to.

The antagonist is the Library. The library is the antagonist is because the contestants are stuck inside the library and trying to figure out how to escape the library without using the front door or any fire exits. The only way for them to escape is to use the library to find clues to find a secret exit to win the game.

Main Characters Strengths and weaknesses and Personal connections

The strengths that Kyle has is board games, word games, and especially video games. He is a game fan. A weakness that Kyle has is Charles Chilingtion. My personal connection with Kyle is he likes to win and he likes video games.

The setting of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's library is. Mr. Lemoncello's Library. The reason why the library is the setting is because the twelve contestants were stuck there for almost the whole entire book.

External and internal conflicts, Climax, and Resolution

A conflict that is in this book is Charles keeps bulling people but after he gets caught bulling and bribing the other contestants to get him closer to the exit, but he gets eliminated from the game by Mr. Lemoncello. One climax is when Mr. Lemoncello was calling the twelve winner to the stage. and he got to the last one. Kyle didn't think he would get in because he didn't write an essay but Mr. Lemoncello called his named last, then he was shocked.

Personal opinion

My personal opinion is that i liked it. The reason why i liked it so much was there was climaxes, mysteries, and adventure.
