Cuban Background
Cuba has many mixed customs and or beliefs because of it's mixed culture. Cuba inherited Spanish and African traditions and is sometimes reffered to as Afro-Cuban sometimes Creole.

Native Customs and Beliefs
One Cuban custom is during the New Years. When the clock strikes twelve, everyone (at the party or where ever you are) is handed 12 grapes and they eat all twelve making a wish as they eat each one.
Holiday Celebations
During Thanksgiving and Christmas Cuban love to eat roasted pork, rice and beans, plantains, potatoes and many other foods. On New Years day, many Cubans drink Sidra; a low or non alcoholic beverage.
