Defendent in the Nuremberg Trials
Conviction and Sentencing
Sauckel was accused of conspiracy to commit crimes against peace; planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression; war crimes and crimes against humanity. Therefore he was sentenced to death by hanging. Evidence accusing him was just the fact that he denied that there wasn't anyone getting hurt. He said he didn't know. And he was hanged on 16 October 1946.
