Fritz Sauckel

Defendent in the Nuremberg Trials

Crimes Convicted Of

Sauckel was a cruel man who was in charge of labor camps. His camps had deportations of 5 million people. In which they suffered horrible labor, and endured awful working conditions.

Conviction and Sentencing

Sauckel was accused of conspiracy to commit crimes against peace; planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression; war crimes and crimes against humanity. Therefore he was sentenced to death by hanging. Evidence accusing him was just the fact that he denied that there wasn't anyone getting hurt. He said he didn't know. And he was hanged on 16 October 1946.

Reflection

I believe all of the defenders should have been treated like mine. They should receive a sentence of being hung. Now some defenders were charged of small crimes not like Sauckels so they should be tried differently. But all crimes against humanity should recieve a death sentence.
