Emergency Test Call Scheduled for November 7
Ferguson-Florissant will conduct a test of its emergency notification system for staff and parents on Monday, November 7 at 7 p.m. This test ensures that we have accurate contact information for you in case of an emergency or closure due to weather. FFSD’s goal is to ensure the safety of all during inclement weather events while minimizing the disruption to student learning. If weather conditions or other unexpected, short-term events make it unsafe for students to attend in person, the District may use one of the following options:
School may start two hours late. (Delayed start)
Students may be released early. (Early dismissal)
Students may learn during a ‘virtual snow day.’ (Asynchronous or Synchronous learning day)
In-person classes may be cancelled entirely. (A regular snow day)
Parents, if you need to update your contact information, log in to the Parent Portal.
School closing and emergency information will also be available on local TV and radio broadcasts, FFSD's website at fergflor.org, FFSD's mobile app, and FFSD's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Ferguson Middle STEM Inspired Morning
Ferguson Middle students had a blast performing several science experiments along with some hands-on learning experiences and STEM-inspired activities. The morning was filled with a fun breakfast, lots of learning and discussions about careers in science and engineering. Thank you to our partners at Boeing and Washington University's Black Girls Do STEM program for bringing this exciting opportunity to our schools.
Cross Keys Student Steps in as a Hero
When a student appeared to be choking, 7th grader LaKeithsha Day knew exactly what to do. With total composure, LaKeithsha stepped in and started the Heimlich maneuver on her fellow classmate immediately. The student was able to recover thanks to the quick thinking of LaKeithsha. We are #fergflor proud of you!
