I thought This Guy Was Awesome! 96 Years Old & Getting It Done...
Staff:
I hope everyone enjoyed the long Veterans Day weekend. Also, I hope everyone took some time to reflect upon how lucky we are to live in a country that allows us to be whatever we want to be; that's so powerful when you think about it. I must have watched Pete Dupre's rendition of the National Anthem a dozen times and each time I liked it more and more. If you get a change to Google it, it's worth listening to it.
As for the past week, I want to thank everyone for all of your efforts during Parent Conferences. I know first-hand that it's a grind, but you guys handled it like pros. It's never easy when you can't fit everyone in, but please be sure to accommodate anyone who may have missed the sign up process. Thanks again for doing such a great job!
Finally, we are gearing up to collect non-perishable food items for the month of November. In an effort to raise more hype, I have decided to have make it into a homeroom contest. The homeroom that collects the most items (see list in my parent eNews) will receive a tribute breakfast. We will also be holding two Hat Days: Friday, November 15th & Friday, November 22nd to help raise money to feed families in need. Last year as a school, we raised over $2,200.00 to buy food for people in need. I hope we can continue this amazing gift of generosity into this year's campaign as well. Thanks in advance for your support and understanding. If you want to contribute, it would really help out. Cash or check donations are fine. If doing so by check, please make it payable to: CHIP-IN
Wishing everyone a wonderful week with students!
