Message from Mr. Eisele
Hilton Elementary Principal
Hello Hilton Families!
My name is Jeff Eisele and I am honored to be the principal at Hilton Elementary School. I look forward to meeting new families and working with all of you to create a positive learning experience for our students. My journey to Hilton began 26 years ago as a science teacher in San Clemente, California. After returning to Michigan, I worked as a teacher and principal for Saline Area Schools. In Brighton, I have acted as the Assistant Principal at Maltby Middle School and Scranton Middle School and Co-Principal at the newly formed Maltby Intermediate school.
My vision for our school is to create a safe learning environment which emphasizes patience, respect, understanding and collaboration. Hilton prides itself in an educational culture that is rich in content and promotes academic, social, physical and emotional development. I am excited to work with such an enthusiastic staff. The teachers, support staff, custodians, lunch staff and office secretaries are terrific people that truly enjoy working with kids. Together with your support we will make your child’s education one of pride and accomplishment.
Hilton is a JK/K-4th grade building that currently has 526 students. Our teachers, who are highly qualified, deliver our curriculum which is aligned with the Michigan Curriculum Framework. In addition to ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies, students receive weekly instruction in the areas of Art, Music, Physical Education, Media and Technology. Hilton has been recognized as a state honored Reward school for three consecutive years. This is the highest honor given and reserved for those schools in the top five percent of the state. We are NCA accredited and most recently received the highest Green status in reading, writing and math. Hilton is also an Evergreen School, being recognized for our school-wide recycling efforts.
Parent involvement is key to the success of any great school. In addition to our wonderful PTO board, we have a large contingent of parent volunteers who devote endless hours to providing classroom support and enrichment activities to enhance the educational experience for our students. The efforts of the PTO help us in the purchase of supplemental educational materials and playground equipment. I encourage you to get involved, even if on a small scale, as a parent volunteer. Please refer to the PTO link for meeting dates and time, and additional information.
To reach our goals, the staff at Hilton is dedicated to collaboration. Through parents, teachers, administrators, PTO and the rest of the Hilton staff, we can accomplish these goals by working together. Parents are always welcome get involved and be part of the Hilton community. I have always advocated an open door policy, and invite parents to come in to talk at any time. Feel free to stop by at your convenience with questions, comments or praise.
Sincerely, Jeff Eisele Principal – Hilton Elementary
