Hermann Elementary Bearcat Bulletin

Learn. Lead. Grow. Succeed. Together!

January 3, 2020

It's hard to believe that on Monday we will enter our second semester here at Hermann Elementary, as well as a whole new decade! I would personally like to thank our students and parents for a wonderful school year thus far. I continue to see the best students with the best parents every day! Our PTO is supportive and dedicated. The AWESOME staff of teachers, paraprofessionals, secretaries, nurse, counselor, cooks, and custodians make Hermann Elementary an amazing place to learn, grow, lead and succeed! I can't wait to show you all of the wonderful things that we have in place to help our students this year! Many exciting plans are taking shape to finish this school year strong! Happy 2020!

School resumes on Monday, January 6.

On-line Bill Pay

How many times have you sent a check with your student for lunches and you still get a low balance call because they forgot to turn it in? Did you know most school-related fees, including lunch accounts, can be paid through Infinite Campus?

Please see the "Making an Online Payment" flyer below for directions and screenshots to guide you through. There is a $3 fee per transaction to compensate for credit card fees, but you can pay fees and add to multiple lunch accounts all in one transaction. Enjoy this convenient feature.

Mark Your Calendars--Enrollment Dates!

We have several important upcoming dates in February and March that I'd like to share with you that involve enrolling students at HES. Please share with any families that may be new to our school! More information will be shared as dates get closer!

February 20-21 Kindergarten Enrollment for students entering Kindergarten in 2020-21

March 5-6 Pre Kindergarten Enrollment for students age 4 by August 1, 2020

These dates will help us determine the number and size of the programs we will offer for the 2019-2020 school year. Appointment call in dates will be shared soon!

Best of the Year

Create Best of the Year cards. See examples below for the cards. Put all the Best of Year cards in a glass bowl and pass them around. Each guest picks a card and they have to answer the phrase on the card. Then throw your card back in and pass around again!

Snow- *Snow Day Activities Jar

  1. Brainstorm things to do on a snow day.

  2. Put each idea on a strip of paper.
