We will be scheduling several teamings coming up soon to deal with STAAR training and some other things. If there is anything you want discussed or put on the agenda, let me know as these teamings will take the place of the after school meeting I was going to plan. We may start this Wednesday, if we do not, we will definitely start the following Wednesday.

I have started observations. If you have a particular time you are wanting me to come by, let me know. I have several scheduled for next week.

Y'all have a great weekend.

Upcoming Dates.......

Monday: Tennis @ Waxahachie; HS Football Awards will be in our cafeteria - they will begin setting up at 2:00 p.m.

Tuesday: I will be off campus in the morning @ White House

Thursday: Boys @ Crandall; Girls vs. Crandall; JH Band Soup Dinner in Cafeteria: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Rolling with the Punches

The last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed some shorter tempers and some frustrated faces......mainly kids, but some of us too.

I know this is “that time” of year, and honestly, I know how much pressure most of you put on yourselves.

It’s okay if you don’t feel like you won today.

Or yesterday, or last week.

In boxing, you often hear “don’t get caught coming in”….

Expect the punches, but roll with them – not into them.

At the beginning of last year, I offered Sonic breaks to anyone that needed it – that offer still stands for anybody that needs to get out of the building for any reason at all….no questions asked.

One of the best things we can do for ourselves is expect the difficulties ahead and “cover up” or “shoulder roll”….like Mayweather.

If you feel like you are putting too much on yourself, we are here to help. Fighters have rest between rounds for a reason. It’s better to rest now than to run out of fight next week.
