Drop Off and Dismissal

Hello, Hillside Parents and Guardians:

Thank you to one and all for continuing to support children at pick up and drop off in the carpool lane by being vigilant about safety! Our traffic pattern is looking better and better these days.

Please remember that breakfast begins at 8:15 a.m. It is helpful for everyone if students do not arrive at our campus early. Besides the cold, it is important to have adults on duty outside so that the safety of our students is not compromised. Duty begins at 8:15 a.m.

Finally, please continue to observe the guidelines regarding playing on the playground between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. We are working very hard to dismiss students in a timely fashion, and those on duty are focused on keeping all students in the carpool area. At 3:45 p.m. staff is able to bring in everyone who has not been picked up, and at that time, students who have adult supervision may play on the playground.

Our staff deeply appreciates the patience parents and guardians have shown us during our cold dismissal days. We know dismissal is slow when we need to keep students inside, and we are grateful for your support of protection of students when days are very cold.
