Dear Families,

Thanks for your partnership at conferences. We look forward to a month filled with learning, a musical concert, a PTO sponsored winter event, and winter parties led by homeroom parents on the last day of school. Please find our calendar below along with some activities . In addition, please see below an opportunity to GIVE to our local families in need if you are interested.

Before Thanksgiving, the students had the opportunity to work with a student in another grade on a gratitude activity. The students enjoyed their time together.

The holiday season is upon us and some of our families need your help. This year we will be collecting items for our Glen Acres families in need. We are asking for new gloves, winter hats, socks, and gender neutral sweatpants. Please send in any of those items with your students or drop them off. There will be a tree set up in the lobby for the items to be placed on. The collection will run until December 22nd. Thank you for helping out our families and students this holiday season. December 3rd is a day to help everyone become more aware , inclusive, and supportive of the of people with disabilities. It is a day to recognize the challenges and contributions people with disabilities make to our community .

This annual event highlights the Hour of Code which has grown into a global movement to promote Computer Science in classrooms K-12. If you’re looking for some free activities, please see the links below:

Citadel Credit Union is looking to recognize teachers from across the Greater Philadelphia area that go “above and beyond” to make a difference in the lives of their students. We know that there are many wonderful WCASD teachers who make a positive impact every single day, and we need your help to recognize their efforts!

Nominations are being accepted for the award now through Jan. 15, 2023. Teachers, counselors, and administrators at public and private schools in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Lancaster and Philadelphia counties are eligible.
