A1 Turtles Update
Week 19 - January 15th
We continue to learn about weather. We will be having fun with clouds next week. The kids made an amazing Adobe Voice today to showcase their shape knowledge. They were very creative in showing different 2 and 3 deminsional shapes from around the classroom. Please continue to encourage your kids to practice their math facts and read over the winter break. They can make flash cards, play games with numbers or enjoy a math app. I have included the link about our current math topic. We will begin our new dance unit next week on Thursdays. Thank you so much for all of your support in and out of the classroom. Enjoy the extra day this weekend :)
Scholastic Book Order
We are taking a homework break next week. It is a short week, so there won't be any homework coming home. That also means no spelling next week. This could be a good time to start planning or their 100th day collection.
This week we will hear about each child's hero. Please have your child bring in a photo and tell 3 reasons about why they are their hero. The kids did a wonderful job of writing their narrative about winter break. Their day is written on their folder. As I talked about on Back to School night, the kids need to be ready to present on their assigned day. If they are sick, they can present when they return. This is a great opportunity for them to gain confidence speaking in front of their peers.
*Jan. 18th - Martin Luther King Jr. holiday (no school)
