Walkthrough Focus this Week
The focus this week is on domain 1.4 (Planning): "The teacher plans engaging, flexible lessons that encourage higher-order thinking, persistence, and achievement."
Fundamental 5 focus: Power Zone AND Purposeful small group talk.
Small group purposeful talk is an excellent way to assess learning, if you walk around and listen to the conversations. That proximity to students also allows you to correct any misunderstandings that may have occurred.
Below is the TTESS rubric for domain 1.4. Be sure to read the descriptors as it will help you determine where your current lesson rests, and help you determine how to tweak things for better results.
