Mother Goose on the Loose: Superstars!
Delilah & Nora are teaming up to be our first MGOL Superstar duo! These two buddies are just the sweetest. Nora tends to be the bolder of the two, while Delilah is patient and compassionate with her daring friend. MGOL is an ideal space for toddlers to start exploring social relationships. We practice sharing, taking turns, and cheering for friends. Nora's mom says, "Since we started coming to MGOL, Nora has soared socially-- she loves coming to see all her friends and dance!" An experience like this can be an important step toward school readiness-- and it's never to early to learn empathy. Delilah & Nora are MGOL superstars!
Mother Goose on the Loose, a program for infants and toddlers, is offered twice a week at the library: Wednesdays & Thursdays at 9:30am.

Build Skills Every Day
Little interactions every day can add up to a BIG foundation for learning.
- Talk: Count the school buses that pass while you're sitting in line for coffee. What are they doing? Where are they going?
- Sing: Pick up a library book with song lyrics (e.g. Silly Lullaby, featured above).
- Read: Read road signs, cereal boxes, or advertisements. Print awareness (learning that meaningful print is all around us) is a BIG literacy building block.
- Write: Write your child's name in the sand at the beach or park.
- Play: Rotate toys to keep them interesting! Read Playful Learning's post about toy rotation.
Go Ahead... Sing!
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Round and round,
Round and round,
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
All through the town.
Additional verses:
The wipers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish
The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep
The doors on the bus go open and shut
