April 8 - April 19
April is Autism Awareness Month
Helping our kids to understand differences – of all kinds – means talking to them about those differences. When we don’t talk about the obvious, kids are likely to come to their own – often inaccurate – conclusions. Providing information promotes understanding and also gives us the opportunity to teach our kids compassion and empathy. Teaching our kids to be inclusive of diversity is an important part of teaching them to be kind, social, human beings.
The Windermeres love teaching, and inclusion for all is why I am a principal. All are welcome, REALLY! Help me celebrate our differences!
Thank you,
Ms. Floyd
