Chapman Update
Good evening Chapman Families!
Wow! I can't believe that it is December! This is a very busy month starting with the PTO sponsored Secret Santa Shop! I am sure that the PTO still needs some volunteers if you have an opportunity to help this week. Please refer to your child's teacher for day and times for your class's shopping.
Chapman also would like to help assist some of our families in need this holiday season. If you are able and willing to help, there will be a "Giving Tree" in the front of the building by the office. Ornaments with items needed will be hanging on the tree. Come grab an ornament and purchase a gift. Return the wrapped gift to Chapman by December 15th and we will distribute to the families. Thank you in advance for helping others in the school community.
I will be at a state conference 12/5 thru 12/7. In my absence, Mr. Matt Moll (Carlson HS Assistant Principal) will be covering for me on Wednesday and Friday and teacher Tiffany Reece will be covering on Thursday. I am also out for a medical procedure the last week before break. Mr. Moll will step in for me in my absence this week as well. I am disappointed that I have to miss this week before the holiday break. I will still be available by email during my recovery if you need anything. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Chapman's Holiday Concert is right around the corner. We are so excited to share this event with all of our families at Carlson High School's audiotorium on Tuesday, December 11th. Please see the attached letter beow for more information.
December food menu is attached at the bottom of the newsletter!
* Please make sure that all students have coats (Boots and Snow pants too!) when they come to school! We are in that transition of cold weather and I would hate to have students miss a needed recess because they are not dressed appropriately. If your child is in need of a coat, please contact me and I will make sure that they have one. It is also a good idea to pack extra socks and an extra set of clothes in backpacks in case students get wet playing in the snow.

Please be patient and pull as far forward as possible in the carpool line. BOTH doors are open for students to enter the building. Please remember for your safety and the safety of the students to please only get out on the curb side of the car. If you have to get out of the car for any reason please park in the parking lot to do so. Please stay in line in carpool and do not cut around. This is for the safety of the families that are crossing the carpool lane. I appreciate all the great work and how smoothly the morning drop off procedures are going! Well done!
* Watchdogs are up and running! If you would like to volunteer to be a Watchdog, please go to this link to sign up! Thank you in advance to all of our Watchdogs!

* It is that time a year where we have to be very careful about sending our students to school when they are not feeling well. Remember that students should be fever free for at least 24 hours before returning to school. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us and we can help in making a decision.
Other Important Dates to Remember:
12/12 Fundraising Winners' Limo Ride and Lunch Sponsored by PTO
