2022-2023 Site Council Parent Representative Ballot

Please cast your vote for up to two parent/family/community representatives for the 2022-2023 Site Council. Only parents, family members of students, or community members may vote in this election. Teachers, other school staff, and students may not vote, as they already voted for their representatives in separate elections.

Members of Site Council make school-wide decisions, including how we spend our Title and LCFF funds.

Parents, family members, and community members will have to log in to Google to vote; each person may cast one vote (this is tracked by email address).

The election will close on Thursday, December 21st, at noon.

PLEASE NOTE:

When calling the school to report an absence or to clear an absence, please choose OPTION 1 from the main menu.

Information on Early Dismissals from School

Please avoid picking your student up early from school. It is important that students are only pulled from class when absolutely necessary, so they do not miss valuable instruction.

At Arcade, we receive a lot of early dismissal requests in the last 15 minutes of school, which is very disruptive to individual classrooms and the office. Please do not arrange for an early dismissal within the last 15 minutes of school.

If you must make an early dismissal request during lunch, please allot extra time, as it is very difficult to locate students at lunch. We are unable to make an all-call because other classes are still in session during both lunches. If it is absolutely necessary to pull your student out of school early during the lunch period, please CALL AHEAD so that we can notify your student before lunch, so it won't take as long to find your student.

Attention, parents!

The boys and girls locker rooms will be demolished over the Winter Break, as part of the first phase of construction. Two rooms on campus will be converted to locker rooms for use during the next year and a half of construction.

Students must clear out their lockers and take all of their items, including their locks, home over the Winter Break. If students leave any items behind in their lockers, the items will be set aside in the lost and found for students to retrieve in January, but their locks will be cut from their lockers.

Students will be cleaning out their lockers in class the last week of school before Winter Break. If you know that your student will be absent that week, please have them communicate with their teacher about clearing out their locker ahead of their absence.

Progress Reports Handed to Students on December 5th

Progress Reports were handed out to students during 6th period classes on Monday, December 5th. Progress Reports are simply a snapshot of your student's grades at this point in time. Quarter 2 does not officially end until January 9th, which is when your student's grades become final and become a part of their official transcript. There is still time for students to improve their grades before the end of Quarter 2. Please take this opportunity to discuss your student's grades with your student. If you have any questions or concerns about your student's grades, please contact your student's teachers directly.

Sincerely,

Lindsey McManigal

Principal
