Principal Walder's Monday Memo
For the week of April 19
GOLD Team Ideas and Updates
We have a couple of ideas that are coming together.
The first has many options for implementation within your individual classroom. We all know that the weekly drawing is motivating at school. As we cannot really mail Goldfish Crackers, the team thought outside the box.
- We plan to purchase 5, small cone certificates for each teacher to be able to mail to students in your classroom. The cone gift certificates will be to the B and G which also supports a local business. Of note, they are giving us a small discount, so make sure to thank them if you drive-thru!
- If you want to create a drawing each Friday in your classroom, that is great.
- If you want to quietly mail students these with a positive note right away, that is great, too.
- If you have another idea for how to best do this to motivate students, that is good, too.
- You choose what is best for your classroom.
If the timing works out, I hope to have the cards and gift certificates outside your door when you come to pack student items. I will email you to let you know.
The second option will be to submit a Titan Legend phone call. It is quite different and I have made a couple already. If you already submitted one and I called if you have a photo I would be happy to post it on Facebook for families to see as I do not want to leave anyone out.
Click the button below to submit.
If you have a student that has exemplified our GOLD Expectations for At-Home Learning, please click the link below to submit a Titan Legend. There is an option to upload a photo as well. Again, the Facebook post is not necessary, but I know it is fun for families.
We hope these are some fun ways to support your Titans learning from home!
PLC Agenda for the week:
Our PLC this week will mainly be filled with time to work on class list suggestions for next year. I will provide you with a template with all our current students on the list.
