City switching to new alert system
The City of Willow Park is transitioning from the Blackboard Connect system to the CivicReady system for our citywide alerts such as severe weather, road closures, etc. You can create your profile and enter your current contact information here.
We ask that ALL residents and businesses sign up for the new system, even if you're currently enrolled for Blackboard Connect. We will be discontinuing the old system soon and want to make sure we stay in touch with you!
Please add yourself to both the emergency alert and water route group for best results. To find your water route, look for the first three digits of your utility bill account number.
Mayor's message
November brings cooler weather and the beginning of the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. We have much to be thankful for here in Parker County. We have a thriving economy, great schools and homes, and strong local businesses where we can shop, eat, and have many other services.
We are also thankful for the organizations in Parker County who help the less fortunate, such as Center of Hope. This year the annual food drive sponsored by the Mayors of Parker County, filled almost 3,600 grocery bags benefitting the Center of Hope. We’re blessed to live in a very giving County and community.
While you are spending time this Thanksgiving with your friends and family, may we all remember the spirit of the season and be thankful for all the blessings in our life and community.

TxDOT asks for public input on I-20 corridor study
From our friends at TxDOT: As part of the I-20 Texas Corridor Study, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is requesting public input through an online survey. The survey asks respondents to weigh in on their transportation priorities for I-20, their points of interest along the corridor, and issues or opportunities that should be addressed.
TxDOT's Freight, Trade, and Connectivity Section of the Transportation Planning and Programming Division is conducting the I-20 Texas Corridor Study to identify multimodal needs and prioritize improvements that facilitate the movement of people and goods from east to west Texas. The study area spans along I-20 from the I-10 junction in Reeves County to the Texas/Louisiana state line, a distance of 635 miles. Findings and recommendations from the study will be used to help guide the future of the I-20 Corridor.
The survey will be open from Oct. 25 – Dec. 10, 2021. The public can get more information about the study and access the survey by going to https://www.txdot.gov/.../statewide/i20-corridor-study.html and clicking the link on the project page.
