Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
Nov. 25-29, 2019
Reminder: No school Wednesday-Friday!
Happy Thanksgiving Broadmoor Families!
Dear Broadmoor Families,
We are so very thankful for our wonderful students, families and staff at BES. Thank YOU for all of the kind notes, emails and gifts this week during National Education Week. It was awesome!
We are having a special parent/guardian screening of the student version of Screenagers on Monday, November 25th at 4pm. We will meet in the commons! This will give you a chance to view the movie prior to our students viewing on Tuesday, November 26th. An opt-out form is attached here, was sent in an email last Thursday to all listed guardians on Skyward and will be available at the BES office.
On Tuesday, from 4-6pm, we will be ringing the bell at Price Chopper for the Salvation Army. Please come and visit us!
When we return on December 2nd, we will begin our 3 weeks of giving with our annual Season of Giving project. This year Rockville and Broadmoor are joining forces to collect donations for our Blessings in a Backpack program, the local Adopt-a-Senior project and our Agape Food Pantry. Please see the attached flyer for more information and details for each week.
On behalf of all of us at Broadmoor, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
Cindy Apple, Principal
Bus Rider Information:
On Monday, November 25th, we will be conducting our bus emergency evacuation drill while the buses are at Rockville. The students will transfer to their regular route bus, and then the drill will begin. This will delay the bus about 5-10 minutes only! Please make sure your student is on the bus so they are prepared if there is ever an emergency. Thanks!
Are You In the Know with PTO?
The PTO does so many incredible things for our students and staff. Thank you PTO!!!
It's Getting Cold Out There!
Please send weather appropriate clothing with your children each day. The playground can be very chilly, especially when the wind is blowing! Students continue to go outside for recess when the temperature and/or wind chill is above 25 degrees. Full recess (and other outdoor activities) are permitted when the temperature and/or wind chill is at (or above) 25 degrees and participating students are considered to be appropriately dressed. (jacket/coat, gloves, hat, close-toed shoes, pants instead of shorts, etc.) When temperatures and/or the wind chill are below 25 degrees, students will have indoor recess.
