The Emerald
Emerald Campus Weekly News
A note for students and parents-
This month we continue the focus on supporting and giving.
Next up, in the coming weeks, we will have a special focus on healthcare and community service. The focus is brought to us from three IB students through a special Creativity, Activity, and Service Project in partnership with the official Red Cross.
If students are interested in volunteering in putting on the event, they should contact IB Diploma students:
may valcourtvalcourt_maya@dublinstudents.net,
prabu_sneha@dublinstudents.net, and
mishra_krutika@dublinstudents.net.
Also, as a reminder, we are collecting pop tabs to support the local Ronald McDonald House (located by the Nationwide Children’s Hospital on Livingston Ave). This project is also a component of the Service-Learning experience in The Bridge program at Emerald Campus.
The pop tab program benefits families staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) while their children are in the hospital. RMH receives a check (from recycling the pop tabs) and the money is used to pay utility bills or support programs. Students can bring in tabs at any time. They will place them in the containers (placed by recycling bins and/or water fountains). Contact the Bridge students and staff or emeraldcampus@dublinschools.net with any questions.

Weekly Spotlight
Live Streaming
Starting next week, all students participating in the IB program or academy classes will be up and running with Live Streaming. Attendance is required Mon, Tues, Thur, and Fri, with Wednesdays reserved for small group and individualized instruction. This is also a time we encourage students to connect for extra help.
As for the pilot, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! We are excited to announce the live streaming will roll-out to the high schools in the next few weeks with full implementation expected in the high schools by the start of the year.
If you have feedback you would like to share, it is welcomed and appreciated -- please send to emeraldcampus@dublinschools.net. We are also working on a formal survey to send in the coming weeks. We will use this data to evaluate the implementation and plan the next steps.
RLA Application for 2nd Semester
In the district bullet points below, you will see information regarding the window being open for applying for the Remote Learning Academy for the second semester. The application will remain open until Nov. 9. Due to staffing constraints, we must adhere to this deadline.
Students opting for in-person or the Remote Learning Academy (RLA) at Emerald Campus should go through their home high school applications process, with the exception of PATHS. This will be handled internally in the program.
Please Note: EVERY family must select their choice of learning mode (see links below), either in-person or the Remote Learning Academy (RLA).
Please check this link for important details.
