Veterans’ Day Mass

We would like to invite school parents who are Veterans or Active Duty Military to attend mass with us this coming Thursday, Nov. 11th. Our 8th grade SALT program will deliver a short presentation following mass, and will recognize our school Veterans and Military parents. Mass begins at 8:15am. Please have a seat in the back pews directly in front of the A/V room, or you may wait in the narthex for your student to enter if you would like them to sit with you. Thank you to all our family and friends who have served our country!

Save the Date for Turkey Bingo!

Our annual 8th Grade Turkey Bingo will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13th following 5pm mass! Our 8th graders will have food for sale, raffles, and of course a chance to win a turkey with a B-I-N-G-O! Fun for the whole family!

Big picture

The Book Fair is Coming!

Our library’s fundraiser, the Scholastic Book Fair, returns November 13-18! While we intend to keep shopping limited to students and staff during the school day, Mrs. Hattaway is offering opportunities for parents to visit the book fair outside of school hours.

Limited slots are available for family shopping Saturday, Nov. 13th and Tuesday, Nov. 16th. Please RSVP through the Sign Up Genius links for either shopping day. Please read the instructions and make sure you follow them so we all have a safe and enjoyable book fair experience. Online shopping is available November 12-25th. All online orders ship to home and book-only orders over $25 ship free. Every purchase benefits our school and helps develop a love of reading. Use this link so the school library receives credit for your purchases!

Don’t forget to set up an ewallet for your students (or contribute to a teacher or the library)! It’s incredibly easy, limits the cash sent to school, and Mrs. Hattaway loves it so much more than counting change. Looking forward to growing our students’ love of reading! Questions: media@steugeneschool.org

Looking For a Few Book Fair Volunteers!

Mrs. Hattaway is looking for a handful of volunteers for the book fair - Two to help set up on Thursday afternoon 11/11, one for Saturday 11/13 to help with morning sales, one for Tuesday 11/16 to help with afternoon sales, and two for tear down on Friday morning 11/19. Send an email to media@steugeneschool.org if you would like to help. You will earn Time & Talent hours.

SALT Volunteer Request!

Poinsettias and wreaths will be delivered sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 4. If you could be available to help unload the delivery and/or assist with distribution one or more days that week, please contact Brigitte Silvernail at bsilvernail@hotmail.com and we’ll put you on the standby list. Once we have a specific delivery date, we’ll reach out to confirm your availability. Service hours available. Thank you!

8th Grade Fundraiser

Help support our St. Eugene 8th Grade Class by purchasing CSSE spiritwear eagle hats and the ever-popular, super durable trash bags! Proceeds from this hat and trash bag sale will help the CSSE 8th Grade Class pay for their year-end trip to Camp Classen as well as the traditional class gift to the school and/or parish.

Orders and payments are due by Friday, November 19th.

Counseling Services

Calm Waters Counseling: If your student is going through any of the following losses: Death, Divorce, Foster Care & Adoption, Military, Deployment, Incarceration, and Deportation, they are eligible to receive counseling services through Calm Waters. Families must sign up on their own using the school address, and we must reach a certain number of student service requests for Calm Waters to contact us to set up a school group at our location. Eagle Excellence

Congratulations to the BMCHS Cross Country Team for their performance at State last weekend! We had several St. Eugene alumni compete, including Gracie Blevins, Andrew de Keratry, Henry Ison, and Torie Whitbeck.

Have you had a chance to check out the BMCHS Canned Food Drive Art Auction on Instagram? BMCHS students, including several eagle alumni, donated their artwork to raise money for those in need. Alumni artists include Ryan Hughes, auction committee chair Blayne Schwarz, and Ella Thomas. Check out alumni Rebecca Horn’s article in OKC Friday. @cfd_art_auction.

Let us know about your student's achievements or give a shout out to a staff member so we can celebrate their Eagle Excellence!
