Date: Saturday, December 3, 2022

Location: Summit Center, Springville

Registration is from 8:30 - 9 am and will begin shortly after. We will be serving lunch from 11:30-12 pm and will finish off the day with the "Countdown" portion of the competition.

Due to limited space, we will do our awards ceremony at the conclusion of lunch. We will then announce the 16 students who qualified to participate in the "Countdown" round. All other participants can choose to leave after the awards ceremony."

Students familiar with the work of Neal Shusterman will not want to miss this

opportunity!

Not only will he be visiting our school on November 30 th , but we have copies of his

newest volume, Gleanings: Stories from the Arc of a Scythe, available for purchase. Also

available are copies of the first book in the series—Scythe. Thanks to the generosity of The

King’s English Bookstore, books are available to at a wonderful discount: $13.00 for a hard copy

version of Gleanings (2 book max) and $10.00 for a paperback copy of Scythe.

Hi 9th Grade Students and Parents,

For those of you that we have met with over the last several weeks, thank you for coming and meeting with us. For those of you who still haven't had a chance to sign up to discuss College and Career Readiness, we encourage you to sign up with your counselor in the links below. As a reminder, at this appointment, we talk about opportunities in high school to prepare students for the college and careers of their choice. Counselors have appointments available through December, but are willing to schedule into January on an individual basis. Please email them if you need an appointment past December or can't find a time that works for you. If parents are unable to make an appointment, counselors will still meet with each student to discuss these opportunities starting in January, during school.
