From The Principal
Kia ora koutou
Welcome to Term 3! It’s amazing how quickly the year is passing, and I hope everyone managed to take a little time out over the break.
We have a packed schedule ahead, and by now you should have received our key dates for the term, including our Y3 & 4 Productions and a number of celebration weeks from Pasifika cultures to Maths and Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, all of which contribute to the richness of the children’s learning experience.
You may have seen that there has been notable progress on the new sports canopy, which will also have artificial turf installed, hopefully later this term.
This is just one example of the many resources and projects that fundraising from our PTA and Family Donations helps us to realise, so thanks once again to all those who have contributed.
If you received a reminder last term regarding the donation but have not yet got around to this, please be aware that this is a crucial part of the school’s budget in many ways, including funding for trips, activities, productions, additional staffing and other key projects we aspire to.
There are also many other fun ways to continue supporting the PTA and engage with the school community ahead, so look out for further details below.
Finally, it was exciting to have a visit from the Vietnamese World Cup players this week, and I'd like to acknowledge Clive Jepsom for decorating the school with World Cup-themed artwork he led with some of the children.
Their creations have generated a lot of comment (including mentions on official Fifa social media channels), in addition to raising the profile of this significant international sporting event with the children.
Ka kite anõ i a koutou!
