Schedule: Thursday and Friday (1st and 3rd Quarter), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (2nd and 4th Quarter). When he's not with us, he is at Cedar Hill.

Handbook Highlights
* Attendance -Take by 8:00
* Breakfast/Gym Procedures - Gym doors open at 7:00, breakfast begins at 7:00, students go to classrooms at 7:20, buses unload at 7:20 and students either go to classrooms or breakfast, 7:45 all students in classrooms for announcements

* Class Meetings - Daily from 7:45-8:10, district wide requirement. More detailed information to be shared on Thursday.
* Communicating With Parents - Use of Infinite Campus is highly encouraged to document communication with parents. Counselor, Behavior Interventionist, and Principal will be using IC for documenting parent communication.
* Electronic Equipment - Classroom doors must be locked when you are not in your room (AMP, lunch, library, recess, etc...). Missing or damaged technology must be reported in writing (email) to the librarian as soon as possible.
* Field Trips - Use Field Trip Checklist when planning a field trip - arrange dates in advance. Buses must be arranged with at least 2 weeks notice, but preferably 4 weeks notice. Cafeteria has to have at least 2 weeks notice.
* Non-School Business - Non-school business should not be conducted during school hours, with exception to your lunch/plan time (if no required meeting).
* PTA -attend at least one PTA meeting this year.
* Staff Children - Have a plan for your own children during your contacted work time, and including meetings after school. Our children should know and follow our school rules at all times.
* Teacher Absences - Fill out leave slips for planned absences (professional development, appointments, personal days, etc...). Text, call, email if it is an emergency or last minute absence. If you need to leave early/come late, the principal must be informed, and the office must know where your students are at. Sign in/out of the black binder in the office, and if applicable, sign in/out your children.
* Websites - All websites will need to be updated. Schedules have changed. Get an updated picture, schedule, and biography on your website.

Great time to discuss expectations and procedures, have a class discussion on what is going well or what needs to be worked on.

Proximity control, verbal/nonverbal cues/signals, ignore, re-direct, re-teach, student conference
5. Active Supervision
Move, Scan, Interact
6. Provide frequent opportunities to respond
Kagan structures is one way to ensure all students are engaged!
7. Changing Sequence or Offering Choice
Keep it fresh, provide choice when possible.
8. Reduce Task Difficulty
Find out where the breakdown is, find alternative strategies (think differentiation)
Expectation Review and Team Building Checklist
For grade level classrooms to complete by end of first week.
