Participation in School Facebook Pages
You may have noticed, from time to time, the various reviews that come in to the Insight School of Oregon or Oregon Virtual Academy Facebook pages. Of course, these represent a small percentage of the entire school enrollment. But, it is an indication to those that may be considering our schools.
Most of the reviews our Oregon schools receive are very positive. Naturally, we also receive negative reviews from time to time.
It is not possible to delete reviews or re-shuffle them so that the more positive reviews come first. The method Facebook uses to order reviews depends, in part, on the amount of attention a review receives and the number of connections the reviewer has with the page's followers.
So, a way to have the more positive reviews appear first is to go on to your school's Facebook page and "Like" these. At least two reviews appear on the page, when it opens. You can choose "see all" to get a running list of all reviews.
It can also be helpful to build engagement with Page followers and encourage them to provide positive reviews. Both schools' Facebook pages receive multiple posts per week and the ability to provide customer stories, via Project Elevate, will be posted soon.
Please pass this Social Media Tip on to fellow teachers and staff.
