Bora Bora

Getting There

When you travel as far as the United States to Bora Bora you want to make sure that you are safe and comfortable within a reasonable budget. Im going to be leaving on may 17th and returning on May 24th . I have decided to fly air Tahiti Nui 1261 on the way there. I would suggest leaving at 12:00 p.m. because it is a very long flight. On the way way back I suggest using air tahiti again mainly because they have pretty good prices! To go home I would suggest leaving late afternoon; because of the time difference you would arrive back home later that night.

Where to Stay

There are many beautiful resorts and hotels in Bora Bora but my personal opinion is the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort. This resort is a colorful and peacful and it will make you feel like you have been transported to a whole new world of beaches and beauty! To find a great resort I used travelocity. St. Regis is a great resort because they have beautiful huts and bungalows, and incredible spa, and delicious food at an exquisite restaraunt. The St. Regis also affers a wide variety of activites and fun!

Activities

Within the variety of wonderful activities and games these are some of the best (as listed on the hotels website):

  • Snorkeling
  • Personal watercraft
  • Sailing on site
  • Yoga
  • Scooter/Moped rentals
  • Swimming and dock on site
  • Bicycle rentals
  • Fishing on site
  • Helicpter/ Sightseeing nearby
Another bonus to these activities is that the St. Regis has the most beautiful saltwater lagoon swimming including stingrays and native fish! In my personal opinion the snorkeling is one of the best options because there are beautiful and majestic sea turtles who love to swim along the coral reef in some of Bora Bora's most perfectly turqoise water.

Problems/Solutions

When people go to Bora Bora it can sometimes be difficult because the Natives who live their may have a difficult accent to understand or a whole different language. To understand them I would recommend learning basic words in Tahitan, such as Hello, Goodbye, Thank you, Your Welcome, Yes, No, Please, etc. I also know that alot of people think that they will either notm get everything for their money or get nothing at all. Well I think that a solution to this would be to read the reviews of the activity or product you are buying then you would know what you're in for.

Conclusion/Reflection

In conclusion I think that Bora Bora is a great place to go have a great time and a wonderful trip! There are many fabulous activities and great resorts! I gave you what I think are the best places and things to do and I hope you enjoyed learning about Bora Bora!
