HomeLink April Newsletter

Happy Spring!

Hello HomeLink Families,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start to Spring! I want to thank you all again for the time and support you continue to provide to our program and our students while we remain in remote learning. We would not be able to do this without you! As always, never hesitate to reach out if there is any additional support that we can provide through the remainder of the year. I hope everyone has a wonderful Spring Break!

Regards,

Angela Menon

Principal, HomeLink

Moving forward for next year

A big thank you to all of our families that were able to complete the Course Interest Survey, identifying courses of interest for next year. We have closed the survey and will be planning next steps on course offerings for next school year. We will continue to hold registration towards the end of June like we have in the past. During this time, your student(s) will be able to sign up for classes for the 2021-2022 school year. More information will be available to all families as we approach the end of the year.

Interested in being a Parent Advisory Committee Member? Please read below!

We are looking for interested parent/guardian participants to join our PAC team for the 2021-2022 school year. If you are interested, please review the application for more information. Looking forward to having you on the team!

2021-2022 HomeLink Enrollment

Enrollment packets for new and returning students are available in the office or available to download from the HomeLink website. Packets should be returned to the Homelink office in person, mailed or emailed to the registrar at your earliest convenience. If your child will not be returning to HomeLink, please let the office know.

Choice Transfers for the 2021-2022 School Year

Students attending from outside Lake Stevens and continuing with HomeLink need to complete a Choice Transfer request for the coming 2021-22 school year. Parents may use the Washington State Choice Transfer Request Portal to process a request or visit your child’s resident school district office or website. LSSD Choice Coordinator will review applications in the order they are received beginning May 15. The District shall provide all applicants with an email notification of the approval or denial of the application.

Self-Care is the SEL topic for April

This month we would like to focus on Self-Care.

Self-care is an action or activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. These actions or activities involve something that refuels us, rather than takes from us.

Mckenzie Harsin, School Counselor, has put together a wonderful one pager on self-care along with a fun Bingo activity to play at home. Please see the one pager below.
