Pre-Festival Concert
Wednesday, February 22nd we have our Pre-Festival rehearsal and concert for our High School, 8th grade, and 7th grade bands.
Our 7th and 8th grade students are going to rehearse at the high school that Wednesday morning from 9:20am to 11:09am(for logistical purposes, i.e. where to sit/stand/move to). I will need 2-3 parents to help chaperone the rehearsal that morning. On Wednesday evening we will have our concert for the parents and public.
Students need to arrive NO LATER than 6:30pm. 7th grade will go to the gymnasium and sit on “stage”, 8th grade will meet in the cafeteria, and HS will meet in the band room. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Students must stay for the entire concert. Part of our band curriculum is listening and evaluating other performances. If students leave, they are not able to fulfill this part of the curriculum. This is a REQUIRED performance. Attendance is expected and is a part of every student’s band grade. I will need 4-5 adult chaperones to sit in with the students at the concert to help ensure proper behavior.

Marching Band Meeting and Show Reveal
Parents, please come so you can get important information regarding our marching band camp and season expectations. We will have a panel available to answer any questions you have about band camp/marching band.
Marching band is a part of our full-year curriculum. It is not a separate class course. All students who enroll in band are required to be at band camp (July 24-28) and participate in all performances and rehearsals throughout the Fall.
