PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP AND CHARGER TO SCHOOL!
Dear Students and Parents:
We are very excited to greet the Class of 2025, 2026, and 2027 on Monday, September 14, and begin the journey to what is going to be a positive and successful year! Thank you for your efforts during this remote learning period as we bridged the gap between RAMS Connect last spring and our Return to Learn (Face to Face) beginning next week. We understand this is going to be a transition and the adults in this building look forward to helping students and their families in any way we can! To help make this a smooth transition, please read through the following information with your child.
Again, we are very excited to welcome NRMS Students into the building. Please be in touch with any questions, comments, or concerns as we strive to provide an exemplary place for our students to learn!
Best regards,
Lissa Weidenfeller, Principal
Al Reickard, Assistant Principal
Jen Domagalski, Student Activities/AD

The entrance off from Division St. in front of the building is only used if a student has to leave for an appointment during the school day, the parent/guardian should call the day before (when possible) or the morning of the appointment. Written notes will also be accepted at the middle school level. The attendance secretary will have a pass to excuse the student from the class.

STUDENT LUNCHES
Lunch will be held during 4th hour and the student's teacher will communicate when lunch will take place. Students will eat in their classrooms. Students will be allowed to walk to the cafeteria to get their school provided lunch and then walk back to the classroom to eat it.

ATTENDANCE
If your child needs to leave early, please call the main office at (616) 863-6300 or send them to school with a note and time of pick-up. When you arrive to pick-up your child, please enter the vestibule at the main entrance to sign your child out. Visitors are unable to access the main office at this time.
If you plan to have an extended absence due to travel, please have your child stop by the office to pick-up an advanced absence form.
BUSSING
Bussing information is available using Family Access. Please check this information and have your student write down their P.M. bus number. Students will be provided with more detailed directions about how and where to board their bus on Monday, but knowing their bus number will help that occur more easily.

As we are not assigning lockers at this time, students should leave their textbooks at home. All textbooks are available during class in a digital format within Schoology. Students are required to bring their laptop and charging cord to school each day.
ATHLETICS
NRMS Athletes will be dismissed from class at 2:20 pm. Athletes are expected to immediately change in their designated area and report to their coach. Athletes and parents will receive additional information and fall season updates from their coaches. If you have additional questions, please contact jdomagalski@rockfordschools.org.
