Attendance

Please make sure that your students are dropped off by 7:45am. The doors close promptly at 7:45am. If your student is late, they must come in through the front office. A parent MUST come sign them in. This rule applies to students that drive as well.

Dismissal Times

Monday-Thursday, school gets out at 3:10 and students need to be picked up within 30 minutes of dismissal.

Friday, school gets out at 2:00 and students need to be picked by 2:30.



Dress Code Reminder

Students must be in uniform, including pants with belt loops and a belt, NO HOODIES

We would love to have Parents come out to hear about Social Emotional Learning and how we implement it on our campus. You will also meet our Wellness Councilor and be able to ask questions.

Special Education/504 update

Attention: Middle School Parents with students in the 504/Special Education Program

I have been happy for the past two years getting to know your child(ren). They are all very special and a joy to teach. I regret to inform you that I will be relocating to the Dallas area. The interim Special Education/504 Coordinator will be Roxann Staursky until my position is permanently filled. You are in capable hands as she has done an amazing job with the high school side of things here at Pflugerville. Please contact her starting September 1, 2022 if you need anything on the Middle School side. We have been working on a transition plan and she's up to date regarding your child's needs.

Free SAT and ACT practice tests

My name is Kristin Johnson, and I'm the Children's Librarian at the Wells Branch Library. We are having some upcoming free SAT and ACT practice tests at our library and I was hoping you could share the information with counselors, teachers, parents, and students who might be interested. Here is the information:

In conjunction with local libraries, Woodlands Test Prep offers opportunities to take proctored SAT, and ACT official practice tests, for free! Each test will use materials from the official organization who creates the test: either the College Board or ACT, Inc. Allow three and a half hours for each test. Each student will need to bring pencils, a calculator, and a snack. We will supply the testing materials. We will score the tests and return the results to you with suggestions on how to improve each student’s scores. A great idea is to take both tests to see which one is better suited to you!

IMMUNIZATION

Please Update your student Immunization record.


  • Students entering 7th grade are required to have one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) for individuals who have not already received those vaccines.
  • We need the original form of the affidavit for Exemption for Immunization if the student is not able to get the vaccine. COPY is INVALID. here is the link to request an Affidavit for an exemption https://co-request.dshs.texas.gov/


If you have questions about the missing vaccine for your student or already have an updated record of immunization, you can email the health aide at mordillano@harmonytx.org or send a message to this number (516)778-7539.


MEDICATION and HEALTH CONDITION

Harmony Public Schools health staff only administer medications and treatments for which we have a valid, current year doctor’s order and parent signature.

Parents must turn in all forms with the medication and medications cannot be transported to and from the school by students. Medications must be labeled by the pharmacy for the student who is to take the medication. Medications must be picked up at the end of the year or when the doctor discontinues the medication, or they will be discarded in compliance with Harmony Public Schools' medication policy.


Update your child's medical records any time your student is treated or diagnosed with a new health condition.

The club sign up is live. All fees must be paid in order to attend. Payments are made through the RevTrak system. We do not accept any payments at the office. Please also read the description as there are specific grade levels for each club. Please see Mrs. Munoz in 139 if you would like to apply for a waiver.

Campus information on uniforms

Uniform Information

Uniform Shirts

-Uniform shirt must be ordered from https://www.frenchtoast.com/long-sleeve-pique-polo-shirt-w-harmony-logo/p/1716?dressCode=13880

- If the Uniforms are sold out or you are waiting for them to be delivered, high school students may wear a white or black polo and middle school students may wear red or navy blue polo.

- Alternative shirts must be polo shirts

- Once uniforms become available all students must be in the Harmony uniform top.

- We will announce when spirit shirts are on sale. Spirit shirts may be worn only on Fridays with jeans.

Uniforms Bottoms

- Students are required to wear navy blue, khaki, or black uniform pants.

- No jeans allowed (unless a spirit shirt was purchased to wear only on Fridays with jeans.)

- No legging, jeggings, joggers, or cargo pants allowed.

- A blue/ Brown belt is required for all students.

- Only grades 6-8 can wear shorts that are no shorter than the knee.

- No ripped jeans on days jeans are allowed.

Sweaters/ Jackets

- Must be able to be unzipped at all times so the uniform top is visible.

- No pullover sweaters

- Must be blue, black, red, or grey.

- No hoodies allowed

- Hoodies will be confiscated and picked up by parents.

shoes

- Must have closed-toe tennis shoes (any color)

- No type of boots are allowed.

Hair

-Hair color must be natural.

-No colors such as pink, blue, green, purple, etc allowed.

Technology policy

-All cell phones/ AirPods/smartwatches must remain turned off and in their backpacks the entire school day.-

-If a student is caught using the phone during school hours, the phone will be taken up and turned into the front office.

-If your student's phone is taken up, parents must pick it up from the office and pay a $10 fee. No cash accepted.

-Students can request to use the school phones around the building if they need to communicate with parents.

Tardy Policy

- All students must be in class no later than 7:45 AM

- If a student arrived after 7:45 AM parents must get down to sign their student.

- No students are allowed into school without a parent/guardian's signature.
