Stehlik Intermediate's Career Day
Save the Date January 14, 2015
Do you love your job? Consider sharing your passion for what you do with students at Stehlik Intermediate School at their upcoming Career Day, January 14, 2015.
It is an event that happens only once a year, so it’s a big deal for our school.
This is an exciting day for our students and staff. The purpose of Career Day is to expose our children to a wide variety of careers, foster awareness for the working world, and give students a sense of realistic opportunities available to them. Each child will participate in five presentations throughout the day by speakers who will discuss what it takes to enter into and be successful in their chosen professions. The time spent in each session will be approximately 20 minutes in length in order to expose students to as many professions as possible. Therefore, each volunteer should expect to repeat their presentation 4-5 times. To ensure the success of Career Day, it is imperative that we recruit volunteers from many different professions to talk with students. We need approximately 40 speakers! We are looking for parents, relatives, friends, business partners, community members, and professionals who enjoy what they do for work and would be willing to participate.
