Where Will Learning Take You?
From the Principal's Desk
Thank you for your engagement during our Look Forward PLCs and, actively monitoring, modeling, and holding our scholars and each other accountable to our hallway transitions. We have made tremendous strides with our hallway transitions and will continue to work until every grade level has perfected the expectation. Please take time to review the feedback received from the A-Team to make the necessary adjustments that will ensure your team is successfully implementing these procedures. We will continue this structure this school year with the next focus on recess. Every instructional minute matters to the communities we serve therefore, it is imperative every minute allocated to instruction is being used wisely. Our focus is to create a sense of urgency at the beginning of the year not the end. Let us continue to push all of scholars to excellence! Student achievement is paramount to the success of CPR.
Remember...
- The success of OUR SCHOOL begins and ends with every faculty and staff member contributing to the overall success of every scholar.
- The goal is quality instruction in every classroom; every day
- Aggressive monitoring with exemplars is a high lever to improving student outcomes and is expected in every classroom; everyday.
Respectfully,
Gerald B. Bennett

This week's Math focus
Our focus for the third week of school will be on Aggressive Monitoring, Instructional Delivery, and Curriculum Development. Each mathematics classroom should have routines set in place and a lesson flow that will allow students an opportunity to engage and problem solve in their mathematics classrooms. The first six weeks will allow us to explore Place Value and Addition/Subtraction in K - 5. Let's ensure that we are all working to set the foundation for our students.

This week's Science focus
We need to help excite students in all aspects of STEM. It is important that we set the expectations for a safe learning environment. Students should walk a way in 5th Grade being able to classify matter (5.5A). Our focus for the third week of school will be on Aggressive Monitoring, Instructional Delivery, and Curriculum Alignment. Science lessons should be well thought out and planned for our students to investigate and become curious about the world around them.
