Tiger Express

September 7, 2021

Hello Team,

This week was an amazing week of learning. I noticed more teachers were allowing students to facilitate the learning. Our visit went really well this week.

Some of the strengths were:

  • students were actively engaged in the lesson
  • teachers were using district’s powerpoints
  • systems were evident
  • anchor charts were available for students to use.
  • word walls were evident
  • classrooms were print rich and conducive to learning

Some of the areas of opportunities were:

  • some rooms need to be clutter-free (especially the small group table)
  • some loss of instructional time due to teacher talk or lack of preparation
  • interactive journals need to be evident
  • TEKS should be on the bulletin boards
  • limited student voice
