The Soundtrack to My Life

Victoria Stikeleather

Dedications

The soundtrack of my life is dedicated to all my family and friends who have helped me along the way. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the love and support they have given me. I have been blessed to have all the people I have in my life. I love each and every one of them very much!

"My Wish" by Rascal Flatts (4:12)

Rascal Flatts - My Wish

This song means a lot to me because it's the song my mom dedicated to my brother and I when we were younger. At the time I didn't understand the meaning behind the song. Now that I'm older and getting closer to being an adult, I understand why this song means so much to her.

"Keep Making Me" by Sidewalk Prophets (3:14)

Keep Making Me
I chose this song because it reminds me that God is still making me into who he wants me to be. It also reminds me of all the friendships I made at camp this year and getting a chance to meet Clayton King and his wife.

"Fifteen" by Taylor Swift (5:04)

Taylor Swift - Fifteen
Even though Taylor Swift's songs usually annoy me, I can actually relate to this song. The lyrics remind me a lot of my freshman year and just my high school experience in general.

"Trust In You" by Lauren Daigle (3:44)

Lauren Daigle - Trust In You
Because sometimes I have no clue why things are happening the way they are, or why things can't happen my way. But I just have to remember God is in control and to trust his greater plan.

"The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars (3:10)

The Lazy Song - Bruno Mars Clean Version
Because I have a real hard time getting out of bed in the mornings. And because this song fits me well because I'm either tired or hungry.

"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper (3:53)

Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Lyrics)
Sometimes having fun means sitting around in our pajamas all day and watching Netflix because we're too lazy to get ready.

"Dont Blink" by Kenny Chesney (5:07)

Kenny Chesney - Don't Blink
Life goes by faster than we think so live life to the fullest and never wish your life away.

"Something In the Water" by Carrie Underwood (4:00)

Carrie Underwood - Something in the Water
This song reminds me of the day I got saved and how my life has been changed ever since.

"Unconditionally" by Katy Perry (3:57)

Katy Perry - Unconditionally (Official)
This song reminds me of my family. I love them all unconditionally. Even when I mess up they still love me the same.

"Love Like Crazy" by Lee Brice (3:37)

Lee Brice - Love Like Crazy (Official Music Video)
I picked this song just for one verse. "Be a best friend, tell the truth and overuse I love you. Go to work, do your best don't outsmart your common sense. Never let your prayin' knees get lazy And love like crazy." There's so much meaning in that verse, if we could all follow it this world would be a much happier place. We should always try to love one another and be a friend because we never know what someone may be going through.

"Count On Me" by Bruno Mars (3:17)

Count On Me - Bruno Mars Lyrics
Because Cheyenne is my soul sister. When we met in 6th grade we became inseparable. There is never a dull moment with us, honestly, I think we need a TV show but that's just me. I can't count the number of times I have been asked if we live together because we're always together. I could be having the worst day ever and somehow she can cheer me up. I'm so blessed to have such a great friend who has been there for me. I don't know how I would have survived high school without her by my side.

"Goofy Goober Rock" by Spongebob Squarepants (2:38)

Spongebob Squarepants: Goofy Goober Rock
Because no other song could describe my awkward childhood pictures. I would also like to take a moment to thank God for puberty.
