7th Grade LEC Trip

For many students in the Mounds View School District, their trip to the Laurentian Environmental Center (LEC) was a highlight of their middle school years. We are very excited to announce an opportunity for our current 6th grade students to participate in the Laurentian trip in the fall of 2019, during their 7th grade year. Students will spend three days and two nights of educational and team-building activities in the northwoods of Minnesota.

LEC is a public residential educational facility that combines environmental education, leadership training and outdoor skills recreation programs. Please visit the LEC website at www.laurentiancenter.org for more information.

This fall's 7th Grade Laurentian Environmental Center (LEC) trip is scheduled for Monday, October 21, to Friday, October 25. Watch for more information to be shared in the future during our Back-to School Orientation in August.

Birthday Books Donation Request

Edgewood began giving every student a brand new book on their birthday (or half-birthday) this year. We want to continue this new tradition next year as well, but will need some support to do so. Please consider using this Google Form to donate to this wonderful literacy program at Edgewood. Thank you!

EPAT (Edgewood Parents & Teachers)

Co-coordinators Needed

Edgewood Parent & Teachers (EPAT) is looking for a couple co-coordinators next fall to train in as we have parents that will be "graduating" after next year. If you are interested in being a co-coordinator or co-treasurer or interested in becoming involved with EPAT in other way, please contact Jennifer at jenniferparlin1@gmail.com to attend their off-season meeting in July and plan for next school year's events.

Also, if anyone is willing to check into and/or coordinate a color run as a fundraiser option for Edgewood, that would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Jennifer as well to discuss.
