Fire Prevention Week

Thank you to the North Fond du Lac Fire Dept. for coming to visit us this week at ELC. The new hats they brought us are really cool and seeing the truck was great. We had two students win the coloring contest and they got to ride on the firetruck which was super cool. Congratulations to Nadia Martinez from 4K and Mason Larson from 5K, for their great artwork.

Along with this, thanks to Dave Mand who had the fire system test for our building this week. The horn and strobe light in the gym work., so thanks again for keeping us safe at ELC!

Kindergarten Teachers Infuse Technology into Literature

Look what our kindergarten students have learned to do! This week, using their iPads, they used the QR Code Scanner to listen to books on the iPad. We have come so far in just 32 days of school!

For your health.......

The flu clinic for staff members will be held on Tuesday, November 1st in the DMR. Don't forget to watch the United Health Care refresher video that Maria Putzer sent everyone this week. Finally, for Get Up and Go, remember to log your minutes everyday. We have had some great winners here.

An End to a Very Busy Week

Besides the Firemen presenting at ELC this week, we also had picture retakes for the entire school on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as having Head Start Vision and Hearing Screening done for the 4 year olds. Five year old kindergarteners went to Mulberry Farm, on our only rainy day of the week. They had fun riding ponies, going on a hayride, picking a pumpkin, holding a chick, milking a cow, and seeing other farm animals. The staff and students will welcome some R&R on this weekend!

My Learning Plan Reminders

October 15th, 2016: SLO and PPG due: If you are on years one and two, you can reflect on just 1-2 standards. If you are on the evaluation year, you should meet with me about your SLO and remember to go through and reflect on all 6 of the Educator Standards.

October 28th, 2016: First survey reflection is due. People have had some questions about using the standard survey. We all use the standard survey given for the grade, and then we are allowed to add to this, to better reflect our population of students.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call, email, or come in and talk with me.
