Mr. Brokos - NPLiberty HS Long-Term Substitute in Mathematics
He is passionate about education, and this is what made him want to become a teacher. He is always looking to gain a greater knowledge base on anything he doesn't know, and he always encourages his students to tell him about their hobbies and interests because he loves learning about the things that they enjoy.
In his free time, Mr. Brokos enjoys watching sports, playing the saxophone, watching movies, playing video games, and reading.
Mrs. Evans - NPLiberty HS Long-Term Substitute in English Language Arts
Mrs. Evans loves to read and encourage literacy. She also enjoys traveling, art, doing things outdoors, and spending time with her husband and children.
Ms. Flook - LES Grade 4 English Language Arts and Science
She is a recent graduate of Juniata College, and last year, she student taught in grade 2 and a K to 4 life skills classroom at Juniata Valley Elementary School.
She is passionate about collaboration and teamwork. She believes that when individuals support one another and work together, they can do anything. She also hopes to instill this type of cooperative environment in her classroom where students connect, support one another, and flourish together.
Ms. Flook enjoys the outdoors and active hobbies such as hiking, swimming, kayaking, running, and biking.
Mrs. Frey - LES Grade 3 Teacher
She is passionate about working with kids and helping them to reach their potential.
She also enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, canoeing, riding her bike, and reading.
Mrs. Lorson - LES and NPLiberty School Nurse
She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two sons, who are 4 and 7.
Ms. Mattocks - LES Grade 2 Teacher
She is passionate about teaching and learning.
In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Ransom - LES Intermediate Learning Support
One of her biggest passions in life is working with children and young adults. It is very rewarding for her to help foster their growth as students and individuals.
She enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also keeps honey bees and raises chickens.
Ms. Dickinson and Ms. Fessler - LES Paraprofessionals
Prior to working with our students, Ms. Dickinson has experience as a swimming instructor and a lifeguard. She is CPR and first aid certified, and she is passionate about helping others.
In her free time, she enjoys drawing, watching sports, and working with animals.
Ms. Fessler (on the right in the picture) is also a new paraprofessional working with several grade levels and students at LES.
She has a practical nursing degree from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, and she is passionate about caring for others.
