Hello VG Families and Staff,
Today marks the end of the first semester (Term1) in the 20/21 school year! It is hard to believe!
Report Cards will be ready mid-January and information on how to access them on your parent portal will be in my January communication.
I would like to remind everyone where we started and how far we have come. Teachers, staff, students, and families have all worked together to make VG a success, even during this difficult pandemic year.
*I would like to thank all the room & spirit parents plus all the virtual volunteers and parents for supporting your teachers in the first semester and coming up with creative classroom parties & opportunities to make online learning fun. THANK YOU!
** I would also like to give a special shout out to our PTA, Falcon Fund and CPAP leaders (Maureen Buttery, Liz Wilson, Jen Leimer, Jeff Holton, Katie Berger, and Erin Moayedi) for the work they have already put in this year to support our school and for coming together as a united front as we move into the second semester. TOGETHER they are putting together a donation drive, Auction and Camp VG so we can continue to fund our VG programs in 21/22.
THANK YOU, we are all so lucky to have you as our parent leaders.
*** And a big shout out to:
- My two right hand ladies: Delia Verber and Susan Witbeck...I appreciate everything you do for Vista Grande and of course your support to me. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in a school and they can do it all :)
- John Alfaro, thank you for taking care of all our students, teachers, staff, and families technology needs and all the extra things you do behind the scenes as well.
- Ken & Frank, thank you for your teamwork and preparing our school for opening back up once we are in the red tier.
- To our classroom paras, librarians, art, music, rainbow and more...thank you for the time you put in with our kiddos and our teachers we are so lucky to have you supporting VG kids.
- Thank you to those of you who have been there to pack & distribute bags on our student material pick up days, we couldn't do it without you.
- And to our incredible teachers who have learned how to teach in a new reality; they log in every day and not only deliver curriculum but also take the time to build relationships with all their students behind a screen.
Vista Grande is a unique place and I am reminded of this day in and day out by ALL our
teachers, staff, students, and families!
THANK YOU ALL for the TEAMWORK...FALCONS SOAR HIGHER!!!
With Gratitude,
:) Principal Juergens
