From Principal Parquet

Dear Parents,

Happy April! I hope everyone had a wonderful week off. Happy Easter on Sunday to those who celebrate.

A huge congratulations goes out to our 3rd graders and our teachers. We had 84.5% of our 3rd graders pass IREAD this year. We had the highest percentage of students pass in the district. What an awesome feat in spite of how the year has gone. I thank all of you for your considered support of our students and teachers. Teamwork makes the dream work! We know we can't do our jobs well without the support of you at home.

For the students who did not pass, a call will be coming from Mr. Bolles. He will have details about summer school. Students who did not pass will need to attend summer school and retake the test. Once these scores come in, students who fail to pass again will be contacted to discuss next steps for the 2021 school year.

As we begin April, we will also plan for ILEARN testing for grades 3-5. This testing will happen in a two week period. In person students will test the week of April 19-23. Virtual students will be scheduled to come in the week of April 26-30.

Please review the calendar below for dates of events.

Thanks,

Keana Parquet
