SUMMER READING @COS COB LIBRARY
When you visit the Cos Cob Library, please stop by to say hello to Mrs. Stanton, Jacob's (3E) mom!
SUMMER READING FROM THE LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALISTS
Our team of GPS Elementary Library Media Specialists are THRILLED to share with you some of our favorite children’s literature for your summer reading pleasure.
Each teacher librarian has selected a very special picture book and a chapter book for you to enjoy with your child. We also generated a list of “must read” non-fiction books that you can incorporate into a healthy-diet of reading for pleasure during the summer months.
Please see the list below.
SUMMER READING FOR INCOMING GRADE 5
GPS elementary Library Media Specialists have chosen ten books (see below) for kids to read; we encourage students to start their reading journey in the summer.
Most of the titles are available through the Greenwich Public Library, including Perrot, Cos Cob and Byram Shubert. They will also be available in the fall through our school library.
Please click below to view next school year's selection of Battle of the Books.
SUMMER READING: 2023 NUTMEG NOMINEES for Grades 2-5
We are anticipating to hold it again in Late Winter/Spring 2023, so this summer can be a great launching pad to start reading high-quality literature. Please see both Elementary and Intermediate nominees below.
