Theatre Summer Workshop - Save the Date
Fowler Theatre Arts and Choir are going to be offering a musical theatre workshop for all Fowler students who are interested in auditioning for our Fall musical. We will be working on the basics of singing and acting along with some more advanced techniques that will help you shine! The workshop will take place at Fowler on July 17-20, from 8:30-12 each day. Space is limited, so if you are interested, please fill out the interest form.
Counselors Corner
This has been a great year at Fowler Middle School. The counselors have enjoyed working with all of our students and are proud of the way our Falcons have continued to thrive.
Please enjoy a safe summer as we send off our outstanding 8th grade class to soar to even greater heights at Lebanon Trail and Liberty High School. As for the rest of you, we are looking forward to more exciting times and great memories as a Fowler Falcon.
We wanted to share a few important “back to school” dates with you, but please continue to follow updates from our district through email and both the district and Fowler website.
Falcon Flight Camp will be held Monday, August 7, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am (schedule pick-up for 6th grade begins at 8:30 am). This is an exciting time for our incoming 6th graders to learn all about middle school. Our Fowler band, cheerleaders and NJHS members will be participating in Flight Camp events as well. If you are a returning 7th or 8th grader, you will be able access your schedule on the Home Access Center and walk the campus and find your classes on August 7th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
We look forward to taking off on a whole new journey with all of you in the year ahead!
Team News
6th Grade
The 6th grade teachers would like to send out a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our students and parents for an amazing school year! Congratulations on making it through your first year of middle school! In order to prepare for 7th grade, please read, read, and read some more this summer! As Dr. Seuss said, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go." So...goodbye school and hello pool! See you in the fall!!!
7th Grade
We would like to wish all our current 7th graders a wonderful summer and best of luck next year as Fowler Falcon 8th graders! Please read a book or two to keep your reading skills sharp, write an actual letter to someone who lives in another state/country for your writing skills, figure out your gratuity in your head the next time you go to a restaurant for your math skills, experiment with a recipe to help your science skills, and read the newspaper or online news article to stay sharp for Social Studies. You have been an amazing group and we are very proud to have been your teachers this year. Please come back and see us next year!
Parents—thanks for all your help and support this year. We know it takes a village and we are glad to be a part of yours, and you a part of ours.
8th Grade
What a year it has been for our 8th grade students! As classes come to a close, the teachers have joined together with the PTA for a special 8th grade celebration! This celebration will include a Game Truck, a Team Tournament, outdoor activities, games, free food, a time-capsule "chalk your walk", and fun with friends! The 8th Grade Celebration will wrap up with a farewell final walk. 8th graders will be escorted through the halls of Fowler one last time as they visit their old classes and say goodbye to their former teachers. It’s been a great year! Thank you for sharing your student with us!
From the Desk of Nurse Violet
Dear 6th Grade Parent/Guardian,
In preparation for 6th graders to enter 7th grade, there are 2 immunizations required by the State of Texas. The specific 7th grade immunizations your student will need are:
Tdap – last dose must be within the last 5 years
Meningococcal Vaccine – given on or after the 11th birthday
If you have not turned in the updated shot record to school after your child’s 11th year old checkup, please do so as soon as possible. You are more than welcome to email the record to tsaiv@friscoisd.org.
If your child needs those shots, please make sure to turn the record in to me as soon as that is done. Students will not be able to pick up their 7th grade schedule or start school in August unless the immunization record is up to date!
Thank you for your help!
Nurse Violet
