Parent Survey
One of the most important aspects of the school improvement process is to collect data from our parent stakeholder group. We desire to be an institution that is always learning, always listening, and always working to get better. Your feedback is critical in order to help us improve.
Please take a few minutes and let us know how we're doing. Click on the following link to complete the survey http://www.advanc-ed.org/survey/public/1876005
Check out the new HPS SOARce newsletter!
Each month, we will post a new SOARce Newsletter. You can find the newsletter online here. Inside each issue, you will find helpful strategies and information that you can put into practice with your child(ren) at home.
We will offer a wide range of coverage:
social emotional growth/support, academic tips/resources, and a variety of high interest topics. We're so excited to share this venture with all of you.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy, and productive new year!

Boxtop Collection
We are ready for our second boxtop collection of the year! Please have your student bring in any clipped boxtops in bags with their teachers name on them so it will go toward our classroom contest! The class with the most boxtops collected will receive a prize. All boxtops must be turned in by Friday, Feb. 21 to count!
Our school will receive 10 cents per coupon clipped to go toward things Alward needs. Our goal this year was to raise a total of $1000. In the first half of the year, we raised $357.10. If you don’t have clipped coupons, that’s ok! Boxtops has changed some of their program- you can now get a free app on your phone and scan receipts and that will give our school money too! All receipts can be scanned for up to 14 days after purchase. If you have any labels that look like the label below, you MUST scan your receipt for our school to receive money. Follow the link below for more information.

We are also looking for volunteers to help count our clipped coupons to send them in. Great news! You can do this from the comfort of your own home over the weekend. Follow the link below to sign up! Thank you for volunteering!

Box Tops Collection: We used to collect box tops, count them and mail them in. Our school would earn money in return. The Box Top Program is changing slightly, stay tuned for more details! You can still save those box tops, but there will be a new way for us to get credit for them!
Family Fare Receipts: Save your Family Fare Receipts and turn them in to the office. That's it! So Easy! Our volunteer team will enter them. When we reach $150,000, we earn $1,000 for our school!

Hudsonville Public Schools Annual Education Report
The Annual Education Report (AER) is designed to meet state and federal requirements for reporting to parents and communities. The report provides detailed data on state administered student assessment results, accountability results, teacher qualification information, and the state results for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).
Parents and the community can access AER information for the district and individual schools by clicking
on the Annual Education Report tab on our website. If you have any questions regarding the AER information, please contact your child’s building principal.

*You can also make a deposit by sending a check or cash to school. Please send all money to school in an envelope labeled with your child's name.
*The Hot Lunch menu can be found online at https://www.jenhudfood.org/
*Did you know that we serve breakfast everyday? Breakfast is available from 8:30am-8:45am in the cafeteria for all students. Please see the attachment below for all the details.
Reminders from the Office
Late/Tardies: All students coming in to the building after 8:50am, need to be signed in by a parent/guardian. If they are not signed in, they will receive an unexcused tardy.
End of day changes: We know that things come up and sometimes families have to make changes to how their kids are going home. Please make your best effort to let the office know of these changes before 3:00pm. The office is very busy at the end of day, and changes after 3pm are difficult to communicate to the classroom teacher. Thank you for your help with this!
