Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year
Win the Day!
Student Expectations for Remote Learning
- Be Responsible
- Be Respectful
- Be Safe
- Log into your ClassLink App
- Log into your Google Classroom Daily for each teacher.
- Attend your class via Zoon/Google Meet daily for each class.
- Please do not use your cell phone during class time unless you are instructed to by your teacher.
Parent Expectations for Remote Learning
- Please be mindful of any background noise and the items visible in the background when your child is in a zoom session (your personal work calls, TV, household noises, etc.)
- Please allow your child the opportunity to be in class independently. Adults can help to make sure they are logged on to sessions, but then they should allow their student to be under the supervision of the teacher during lessons, with the adult just checking in periodically with their child. Students need to do their own work, and teachers need to be able to work with students without adults being present with the student unless they are needed or called on to assist a child.
- If there are multiple students in your household, please try to provide a separate space for each student to participate in their virtual meeting so the other students can’t be heard in other classes.
- Have a work space established for your child with all of the materials that they will need for the day, access to an electrical outlet, etc.
Submit your child's medical records
This year, District 34 is requiring that the State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination and all Immunizations required by the State of Illinois must be received before October 15th in order for your student to avoid exclusion. This paperwork is required for all Sixth grade and new students to the district.
Note: Scheduled medical appointments are NOT acceptable in lieu of the required physical examination documentation.
Please contact your child’s school health office with any questions at 847-838-8301.
iPad tips for students
Keep your iPads plugged in and ON overnight – our Mobile Device Management (MDM) is set to push any updates that occur automatically at 10:00pm every night (only if there is an app update).
