Parent and Teacher Rating Scales are submitted and scored
Universal Screening-2nd grade students-NNAT
Kingore Observation Inventory Professional Learning and Implementation
Selection:
- Campus Gifted Identification Committee: a majority of whom have completed their 30 Foundational professional learning hours: GT Administrator, Counselor, GT Advocate, Advanced Academics Program Coordinator
- CGIC reviews all data: including authentic student products provided by the teachers
Students qualify for program services
Students do not qualify for program services
- Letters regarding the identification process are sent home in a language that families understand (Texas State Plan).
- Families may schedule conferences with campus staff to review data (Texas State Plan)
- Families may appeal campus decision (Texas State Plan)
Notice of Appeals from the families are returned to campus
Campus submits appeal notifications to AA Program Coordinators
District-Advanced Academics office schedules Appeals Process Tasks/Learning Experiences
Committee(s) of district personnel reviews all data
Appeals decisions are finalized
